PRESENTATION

The first edition of the French Main Group Metal Chemistry Symposium will take place Friday 20th April 2018 in the new building of Pôle Numérique (PNRB) on the Bealieu campus of the University of Rennes 1, in Britain.

This symposium tends to bring together the members of the main group metal chemistry community to favor scientific discussions and helps new collaborations to emerge.

Two plenary lectures, covering the various aspect of this chemsitry, will be given by:

- Professor Klaus Jurkschat on "The Fascinating World of Hypercoordinated Tin Compounds. Academic Curiosity and Industrial Applications".

- Professor Paul Knochel présentera une conférence intitulée "Polyfunctional Organometallics of Zinc and Magnesium in Organic Synthesis".

13 oral communications (20 min each) and 5 flash communications (5 minutes each) selected by the scientific board, will provide researchers the opportunity to share their results. Lunch and two coffee breaks will also encourage scientific exchanges around various posters.

Inscriptions are opened from 01/11/2017 to 06/04/2018 and contributions as oral or poster communications can be submitted online from 01/11/2017 to 23/03/2018.

300 €, provided by the SCF - Division Chimie de Coordination, will be awarded to the laureates of the best oral and poster presentations.
